Nikon 55 200mm f 4 5 6G ED IF AF S DX VR Vibration Reduction Zoom Nikkor Lens 52mm UV Glass Filter Accessory Kit for D40 D60 D90 D200 D300 D300s D3000 D5000 Digital SLR Cameras

Kit includes:
♦ 1) Nikon 55-200mm f4-5.6G ED AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Lens
♦ 2) Vivitar 52mm UV Glass Filter
♦ 3) Precision Design Deluxe 6 Piece Lens & Digital SLR Cleaning Kit
♦ 4) CapKeeper 2 Lens Cap Strap

This 3.6x zoom features Nikon’s VR image stabilization and is perfect for portraits and action. Vibration Reduction reduces the effects of camera shake, allowing hand-held shooting at up to 3 shutter speeds slower than without VR. An ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element minimizes chromatic aberration, and a compact rod-type Silent Wave Motor (SW) enables ultra-high speed auto focusing with exceptional accuracy and super-quiet operation.

This Vivitar UV Filter is a multi-purpose, fine-weather filter that is designed to optimize your photography experience. UV filters block out unwanted ultraviolet light and prevents the UV “fogging/haze” effect”, which can result in inaccurate color and lower the apparent sharpness. This filter is also ideal for protecting your valuable lens from scratches and dust, and it can be kept on the lens at all times. Perfect for digital, video and photo.

Keep your lens cap securely attached to your lens with the convenient, simple-to-use CapKeeper. Never lose a lens cap again!

This 6-piece cleaning kit contains everything you’ll ever need to properly clean your lenses, including a Hurricane Air Blower, Lens Cleaning Tissues, Lens Cloth, Lens Cleaning Liquid, Brush and Cotton Swabs.

5 Stars Awesome!
Product was shipped well and rec’d in excellent condition. It was exactly what I wanted. And the price was good.

5 Stars Nikon 55-200 VR Nikkor Zoom Lens
I just got this as a gift yesterday and I am very pleased with it. The pictures are crisp and clear and the closeups from distant shots are impressive. I would like to test it out more but for now I am impressed with it.

4 Stars Love the lens
I bought this item after reviewing previous ratings and a LOT of research as I was concerned about the budget. Initially my plan was to buy the 70-300 mm Non VR lens. It was within my budget and was thinking 300mm would help me to cover more distance.

But after reading reviews and comparisons I chose 55-200mm VR.

Reasons:

1. VR helps me a lot as I am interested in taking Sunset/Sunrise and do not have a dedicated external flash.

2.100mm doesn’t make big difference. Read a quote by Ansel Adams “Best wide-angle lens? ‘Two steps backward’ and ‘look for the ah-ha’” mentioned in Kenrockwell page.

So thought, for 300mm I need to move forward few steps, ha ha.

3. Have Nikon D40 so wanted a lens which works in AF mode. 70-300mm doesn’t.

So bought in Oct, love this and its awesome. Except the add-ons, they are not very good quality materials. But this deal is cheaper than the lens in other sites.

Thanks for people who wrote the reviews….

BTW, the lens makes some noises while auto focusing and (releasing shutter if VR is on), and its normal.

5 Stars G.K.Babu’s Review
As described Lens quality and price is superb. Item is in excellent condition. Recommended Seller. Thanks.

5 Stars No Brainer Sports Action
I bought this lens based on several recommendations about the quality of the images you can get with it. In particular, the lightness of the lens is a major factor. I recently bought the Nikon D90 I use this lens on and the combination is very easy to hold for long periods and to shoot sports with. All the pictures I took with reasonable light levels were super sharp. I used it to shoot pictures of my grandson playing football and even caught a sequence of shots where I zoomed between shots (1 second apart or so) as he scored almost right in front of me. All the shots at 200mm were excellent after discounting my sometimes poor selection of where to point the lens. The VR clearly was working as I was hand-holding for all my shots,

4 Stars Alright bag cover
This bag came with an AWESOME Instructional DVD that is very very very useful for beginners, i highly recommend this bag.

Compartments inside are movable and interchangeable to fit your needs so thats very good if you have different stuff like either a lense or a flash

Bad thing is the bag is bulky and can fit only 1 lense, and maybe a flash, which is a very very very tight fit, so the best would only be just the camera or 1 lense or 1 flash.

Overall im very happy with the bag, protected my equipment from the rain and all, if your looking for a decent bag with an instructional dvd from nikon BUY THIS ONE!

Nikon D3000-D5000 DSLR Starter Kit with Nikon School DVD Fast, Fun & Easy III / IV and D-SLR System Case

3 Stars Nikon D5000 Kit
The instructional video is excellent it is the best way to get started if you have never used this camera, even if you are an experienced photographer.

The camera case is nicely designed with a lot of extra Velcro partitions and specialty compartments and pockets for accessories. And if you remove unused partitions you may have room for one additional (e.g. 55-200 VR)lens. However, the owners manual will not fit in the case or a side pocket. This would be a perfect case if it were made slightly larger. If you will likely add an additional lens to your arsenal you might seriously evaluate other storage options that are more roomy, especially if you would like to keep the manual for a such a sophisticated camera close at hand when you travel.

5 Stars Good
Good quality case for my Nikon D3000 and charger; all adjustable inside to keep camera in soft and stress free position. Has extra space for cables, SD, but not for extra optics.

5 Stars Super Sweet Camera!
Love this camera, just got it for Christmas and was able to use it right away without any problems. It’s our first SLR camera, and we like it a lot! Great investment!!

5 Stars LOVE my new Nikon D-SLR!!
First, I have to say that I am an amateur photographer – just love taking pics of my kids, family and nice scenes. I don’t need a lot of extras … but have always been disappointed by slow shutter speed and, ultimately, missing “the” moment. (Espcially with kids!!) But I don’t have that problem with this camera! Its fast, accurate, takes GREAT pics and I’m thrilled with the “guide” (very helpful!). As far as the purchase, the price was excellent and came with many extras (carry case, lens cleaner, extra battery, memory card … and much more!) I’m very impressed and couldn’t give this purchase a higher recommendation!

4 Stars Good camera
I did a lot of research before purchasing this camera. I’m not disappointed in it. The photo quality is excellent. The automatic features are very handy and the manual override capability is very good. I have been a little discouraged by two things; one, the ‘info’ button is very close to the shutter-release button and several times I’ve pressed the wrong one and missed a shot, two, although the lens that came with the camera is very nice I will definitely need a more powerful zoom lens.

So, overall, I would recommend this camera. I will purchase the 200mm zoom lens and eventually get used to avoiding the ‘info’ button when I want to press the shutter-release.

5 Stars Good first DSLR
I’ve recently moved from slim digital camera world to DSLRs and the Nikon D3000 is a good first step. I like the battery life, picture quality and ease of use.

5 Stars Nikon D3000 and accessory kit including Nikon Gadget bag
After months of research I finally settled on the D3000 as my first DSLR. Next came the search for the best price.

As for the price the camera, lens and accessories included in the deal offered by Cameta Camera through Amazon can not be beat. With 8GB memory card, lens and gadget bag and extra battery the camera is ready to go right out of the box (after charging the battery, of course).

As for the camera I have been very happy. I have had a number of blurry shots but I truly believe that it is my lack of experience and not the camera. I am sure that the more I use the camera the better I will become.

Delivery time was great, my gadget bag was on back order and it still arrived within a week.

Great Price and speedy delivery who can ask for more

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star “F- -” and “ERR” error messages
My camera started showing the dreaded “F- -” and “ERR” error messages 2 days after I received it. The only way to remove the error sign is to remove the battery. A quick internet search revealed that these errors are not rare. From what I gathered, apparently there is a problem at the camera/lens interface. The problem occurs at least once a day and it occurs with the 18-105 mm kit lens (haven’t tried any other lenses). I am returning the camera for an exchange. Hopefully the new one will not have the same problem. Otherwise the camera IQ and user interface are great, though noise reduction is a tad bit overwrought.

5 Stars Best value and more than enough room for creativity; Pro camera for amateurs and wannabees
I upgraded from a D60 (which I sold easily on Amazon’s Marketplace)for two reasons. I wanted more control of functions and I wanted to have more lenses available with the autofocus functionality. This is a well designed and fully equipped camera. Easy to improve on it; just add good lenses. I suggest a good wide angle (8 or 10 mm, manual focus will work), a wide-angle zoom (suggestion: tamron, sigma or tokina in the 10-35 mm range) and a zoom such as the Nikon VR 55-200, plus a teleconverter (2X from Kenko) and you have the ability to shoot all kinds of pictures. A sigma 50 mm macro lens will allow for close up. About the camera: very easy to set up and extremely easy to operate; just read the small booklet to get started. Some variations to explore later are to set up the quality of image capture (regular or RAW, at different resolutions) and the ability to shoot single pictures or a sequence, with or without exposure bracketing. In brief a camera for people who know all these details or want to or care to learn.

Picture quality is very good and handling, battery life and LCD images are very good. I had a great experience with D60 and expect similar dependability and reliability but will update this later.

5 Stars My first NEW camera
After starting out with a used Nikon D70 and then upgrading to the D80 which was also used, I was torn between A used D300 and a New D90. After much research, price comparisons, and reading some of the great reviews here at Amazon, the answer was clear. Many of the controls are similar to the D80 so there were only a few areas to learn about. As a fashion/glam photographer my main subjects are models in outdoor settings. Within a week of receiving the D90 I gave it a workout in 30+ degree weather. IT performed flawlessly!! NO fogging despite it not being weather proof like the D300. The images are brilliant, vibrant, and sharp. The exposure meter seems to be dead on. A highly recommend piece of equipment!!

5 Stars Great Compact DSLR
Strengths:

Fast 11-Point Focus; Great Low Light Performance; Sharp LCD Screen; HD Video; Long Battery Life; Size; Solid Build;

Weaknesses:

Heavy for its ‘compact’ size’; Backlight on the Control Panel LCD Screen (on the right top of the unit) not bright enough; A bit cumbersome to activate “Timer”.

A camera that packs a big punch but without the bulk of the average sized DSLR. The body is smaller than the prosumer/professional DSLR’s, which is perfect for the average enthusiast/hobbyist. I mated it to a 18-250mm lens and took it on a trip recently. That was all I needed to get wide and zoom shots. I had the “Auto Mode” set most of the time and all the shots came out very nice! The few times I used “Manual Mode” to tweak the Shutter, Aperture, ISO settings, the shots were amazing.

5 Stars Exceeds My High Expectations
I bought my D90 from a local camera store on recommendation from a friend who has a D40x. When I pointed out the significant price difference between the two, he simply said. “Buy it; it’s worth the difference.” And after owning the camera for a year now, I couldn’t agree more with his recommendation.

When we buy products and live with them awhile, our impressions may range from “sorely disappointed” to “as expected” to “pleasantly surprised.” The D90 has been a very pleasant surprise — and my expectations were high to begin with.

I have used the D90 in a variety of situations including dog shows, vacation trips, weddings and receptions, and the usual family activities — around 2500 shots taken so far. It has been completely reliable. The pictures are excellent quality — that’s a camera statement, not one about my skills.

At this point, I have one lens for the D90 — Nikon’s 18-200 mm DX VR zoom. I plan to review the lens separately, but suffice it to say that it is a great all around (some say walk around) lens for the D90.

There are many, many other favorable reviews here on this camera so I won’t repeat much on the details here. Suffice it to say, the numbers don’t lie!

The D90 has a LOT of functionality. Adding function to a product increases complexity and can make it harder to use. Good product designers get around this by picking defaults such that the function doesn’t require user attention unless s/he so wishes. The D90 is excellent in this regard. You can start shooting nice pictures with it in auto mode or the programmed modes fairly quickly. Moving up to the P, A, S, & M modes opens a whole new world of functions you can learn when you need or want them. Learning the D90, and photography in general, is a journey not a goal.
