5 Stars Love it.
I’m a novice photog but this thing is a great size for anyone. If you want to just carry a camera don’t get it.It is a decent sized backpack. It hold my camera, 2 lenses, 15in probook, with room for phone, chargers, snacks and a few other things. This is not a little camera bag but I love it.

5 Stars This bag is a BIG WOW!
I got this bag for my D90 , Tokina 50-135mm f/2.8 , Nikon 70-300 VR, Nikon 18-55, my Toshiba laptop, and all the other accessories and booklets that I carry around.

I was just taken aback at how easily things just fit in.. the padding is so good that I feel safe about my gear. I am planning to take this bag on a 21 day bike trip. It appears that it will hold itself and all the stuff up quite nicely. I will update the review when I return. But, so far.. its a 5-star for me!

4 Stars It’s in the bag (yeah that’s corny)
If you’ve seen the video, you know exactly how useful it is. It can be a little awkward to use because the top open space is of an odd shape. I have a D90 and even though the compartment is narrow, there is still a lot of room for the camera to move around. I haven’t gotten my laptop yet, but I’m sure it will fit. It’s really comfortable to wear too.

5 Stars Great backpack
I made an excellent choice. This bag allows me to carry my Canon XSI with a 70-300 lens on it and has room for another couple of lenses and accesories. The bag isn’t too big yet not so small.

5 Stars Perfect
I purchased this for my trip to Paris in August. It meets the specs to use as carry-on with all your airlines. This made it an even better purchase, because I didn’t want to have to put my camera and lenses with checked luggage. I use a Canon XSi with the kit lens, 50 mm lens, and 55-250 mm lens. I had the 55-250 mm attached and it fit perfectly, wasn’t a snug fit, but I wasn’t worried about lens coming unattached or breaking. Other lenses fit nice and snug. Compartments can also be configured based on your personal needs. Bag didn’t leak, carried it in the rain in Paris for about a 2 blocks and had no leak problems. The laptop compartment will definitely fit a unibody MacBook Pro 15 inch. I think it’ll fit a 17 inch with no problem. The upper compartment held card reader and remote. It also has plenty of room. Very comfortable to wear and doesn’t feel like you’re carrying a lot, I carried a full load the whole time. The only thing missing is a way to attach a tripod, I’ve found a sew shop here the will make me one for less than $5. The thing I really liked about the bag was that it doesn’t look like a camera bag, very inconspicuous. Paris is known for pick pockets.

Nikon MB D80 Multi Power Battery Pack for the Nikon D80 and D90 Digital SLR Camera

Nikon MB D80 Multi Power Battery Pack for the Nikon D80 and D90 Digital SLR Camera

The Nikon MB-D80 Multi-Power Battery Pack holds 2 EN-EL3e Lithium-Ion rechageable batteries, effectively doubling your total shooting time. Can also hold a AA battery holder (included), so users can use AA batteries as a power backup. The MB-D80 Multi-Power Battery Pack provides an AF-on button, vertical firing release with lock, and front and rear command dials.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Highly recommend
I’ve put a battery pack/vertical grip on every camera I’ve owned (film advance with 35mm). I like this model best. It allows you to shoot with 2 of the Nikon rechargeable batteries giving you twice the power and also allows you to view the current charge capacity of each via the menu/LCD screen. You can also use AA batteries but The “Magic Lantern Guide” recommends using the Nikon batteries for best performance and I agree. In addition to providing a better grip it also provides an additional shutter release button on the side when turned for vertical photos.

If there is a negative it would be that the grip adds a bit more weight but that is not an issue to me as the D80/D90 is smaller/lighter than full frame DSLRs anyway.

5 Stars It Delivers
I am thoroughly pleased with the MB-D80, which I use on the D90. I like the convenience of carrying both batteries so I never need to worry about running down or worse yet running out. The battery insert that comes with this product to use regular type batteries is a plus, as I always carry a pack for the SB-900 Flash and in a pinch could use it for the camera or the obvious if you are away and needed to power up in an emergency any local store should have batteries. That being said after only a few days of using this product I was surprisingly acclimated to it. For portrait orientation it is fantastic, and is arguably the biggest pro of this product. It does completely away with the awkwardness of pushing buttons in portrait orientation for a camera designed by default for landscape orientation. I didn’t really notice a difference in button tension, etc as some have mentioned – maybe after a break in period that will change. But seamless transition for landscape to portrait. On the down size it does increase overall bulk and weight. However, in the same breath the camera is very, very well balanced and you only notice it as I’ve been shooting without it for over a year. Now that I’ve been using this product for a few months I hardly notice that it is any different. It is also very easy to put on or take off – less than a minute. Very pleased with this product.

5 Stars Nikon MB-80 Excellent!!!
The Nikon MB-80 works perfect for my D80, I’ve haven’t had any issues. I do photography and when I’m shooting hundreds of photos this has become really handy. I totally recommended for those that shoot for long periods of time with your D80 or if you just need an extra battery and don’t want to be swapping batteries back and forth this is perfect.

5 Stars works for what it was purchased for
Purchased the battery pack to get better fps on my D80. The D80 is not the best sports camera unless you’re outside in natural sunlight. The battery pack does help, getting you more fps. Overall, I would recommend a different camera if sports is your shooting preference, but if you already have the D80 and want to shoot sports, this will help.

5 Stars I was going to buy a third party battery grip, BUT…
I recently borrowed my father in law’s Nikon D80 with the MB-D80 mounted. Now that I just ordered my own Nikon D90, I definitely needed a battery grip. Even my old Nikon Coolpix 8800 has a Nikon battery grip. I always like the extra battery life and also makes gripping the camera more comfortable, plus the portrait mode shutter button is great, if you shoot that orientation a lot, which I do.

At first, I felt that the MB-D80 is a bit pricey for what it is, which is probably the case, so I started checking out all the other third party grips. Most of those third party grip reviewers stated that most are well made, but the plastic housing seems a little thinner that the Nikon, but that’s not a big deal to me, since I never bang my equipment around. I finally was just about to settle on the Ziekos for $60 Zeikos ZE-NBG90 Battery Power Grip for Nikon D80 & D90, which looks almost identical to the Nikon, but than one reviewer mentioned that the grip’s tripod mount looks sturdy and “should” be ok. So, I started thinking, I’m trying to save $90, camera is $1100, plus a $500 flash, maybe a $500 zoom lens later on, is it worth risking $1600+ over $90, HELL NO, so I changed my mind and went with the MB-D80 instead.

Without this battery grip, when the camera is hanging around your neck and by your stomach, it is off balanced, where it is tilted with the lens pointing down at a 45% angle, the bottom front edge of the camera body resting against your belly. With this grip and batteries, at least with the kit lens, it will be leveled horizontally, the back of the camera will be flat against your belly, making it more comfortable, when it is hanging there, while you are walking around.

5 Stars Great for photographers
This is a great accessory for your Nikon digital SLR. It makes it easy to take photos when you have it on a tripod so your camera doesn’t move.

5 Stars Neat gadget
I thought I did review this, but here goes…it’s a nice device…it works just fine with the D50, or at least when I tested it. Am pleased and would buy it again.

5 Stars very handy…no more delay timers
A must have in the bag. Very handy for those shots where you cannot afford to lose time using a delay timer. Great product for a great price! I would have taken around 2000 pictures with the remote shutter release and it works just like new.

5 Stars Works great right out of the box
Opened this remote up Christmas morning and was using it minutes later thanks to the included battery and simplicity of the device. Aim at the camera, click the button on the remote – too easy.

5 Stars Works exactly as expected
No surprises.

- works exactly as expected on my D90

- setup a breeze

Only possible downside is use in a room where 2+ people are using the same remote. There is no camera=remote pairing (that I can see).

5 Stars very good.
It’s very easy to use and phote is in good quality. I really love it.

5 Stars it is a pretty good SLR camera
I love this camera very much, the price was fistly amazing, camera body plus two lens (18-55&55-250 mm) only costed about $800 (I forget from dealsee or dealigg). The pictures are very beautiful, which I never took using ordinary camera like Powershot. Up to now, I love it~

5 Stars feels good in hand
I have not purchased this camera yet but i have looked at a lot of Nikon and canon cameras from the d90 on down. most of them are pretty cool and feel OK to hold them- the d90 was probably the nicest i had seen. it is well made, has lots of nice features, good imaging and record video high quality. it is a little heavy but the fit is nice. not all of the canons feel that good in my largish hands. until i checked out this camera. it is the perfect weight and a super nice fit. on the back of the camera there is a place where your right hand thumb can hold the camera which is what i find most frustrating about a lot of cameras, especially the point and shoots. even a lot of the SLR don’t really have a good grip. also , on the left side of the camera there is a good place to hold on that side too so the whole camera fits nicely into both hands. from what i am reading the mechanical s on this camera are going to be very excellent for something $700., I’m sure way better than anything i would expect in a admittedly expensive amateur camera. this is still reasonably affordable for how much camera you are getting. i will stick with the standard lens and if i really get excited i can always buy a more expensive one down the road. this camera is now the one worth waiting for.

5 Stars Excellent dSLR
Have used Nikon film SLR gears for many years and turned to Canon digital P&S (I perfer those large CCD sensor models, i.e. S400, A610, A620) in the past six years, T1i brings back the SLR feeling and it picture quality is excellent, event with the kit lens.

The only downside of this camera is that it only does 1080p video by 20 frame/second, wish there will be a firmware update to increase it to 24 frame/second.

5 Stars Great camera for the price
To start off let me say this camera is great. For the past year been searching for a DSLR that matched me and this camera is it. I have photography experience for a few years now so I do know what I am talking about. Ive had this camera for about a week or two and already I have pulled off a number of great shots. Its met all my needs and more. So let me break down the basic pros and cons.

Pros-

Revamped interface is extremely quick and easy to change settings quickly for newbies

Screen is very bright and looks amazing when compared to lower resolution screens

Lightweight, but also has enough weight to feel right in your hands

Amazing video capture at 30fps for 720p

Overall nice image quality, great color reproduction

Cons-

Sharpness, unfortunately camera produces extremely soft pictures. This problem is magnified by kit lens

Poor low light performance, Nikon will always out perform in this area

Need a higher quality lens to take advantage of T1i (con for new photographers)

The image quality is barely past the XTI, this is due to the T1i spread of MP

1080p is crap, personally I shoot in 720 anyways so not a con with me

So that is just a quick run through of the camera. To let people know I had compared the T1i vs the D90 and the D5000. The reason I chose the T1i is b/c at the time of my purchase was half the price of the D90 and that is with the kit lens of the T1i. If it wasnt for the my budget the D90 would have been my choice, but with the price difference i can later on purchase another nice canon lens. Against the D5000 it outperforms overall but the D5000 is a lower amateur DSLR. Something interesting to mention is that most everyone agrees that the T1i vs D90 is a better comparison but it seems the prices are off in my opinion.

So overall this camera gets 5 stars for me. Though even with the sharpness problems I knew at the time of purchase what the cons were and I knew what to expect. The camera has met all my expectations and more and I would recommend this to anyone else interested in stepping up their photography.

5 Stars Convenient
Bought this remote nearly a year now and just got to use it on a trip in late November.

Took my wife and daughter on their first camping trip in Hollywell, Jamaica. W.I. and having this device was like having a photographer with us. We posed, ran around the camp fire and had alot of fun.

My wife was particularly pleases that i was in the pictures as i was always behind the camera.

Its really alot of fun especially if you have family and want to take pictures with them.

I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend this product to everyone. Cheers!!

4 Stars Nickon ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control for Nickon D40X
It is very useful. Now we can set it up and take more pictures with my husband in the photo.

5 Stars It does its job
Set the camera to remote, push the button, wallah. It’s tiny, and only has one button. It doesn’t get much easier and better!

1 Star not working
This remote didn’t work with my D5000. Tried so many times with any angle, I read the manual carefully and even changed the battery, but no improvement. Returned it for refund.

2 Stars Maybe it was just mine
but it worked fine for maybe a day then i thought maybe the batterys been there too long so i bought a new one. it takes forever for it to actually take the picture and no it’s not on timer. plus i’d have to restart my camera a million times to only to get it to work sometimes. ugh
