1 Star REALLY SAD…
I AM REALLY SAD ABOUT THIS CAMERA, FIRST 2 OR 3 DAYS, THE CAMERA WORKS GREAT, AFTER THAT, THE CAMERA START TO SHOW A BAD QUALITY IN THE LCD SCREEN (BLURRY), I AM REALLY SAD, THE FIRST PICTURES WERE SO GREAT, BUT UNFORTUNATELY MY ITEM WAS DEFECTIVE,PROBABLY I AM GOING TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER BRAND,I TRIED EVERYTHING, CHANGED SETTINGS,MODES,AND NOTHING WORKS, NO CAMERA FOR CHRISTMAS TIME AND NO CAMERA FOR MY SNOWING TOWN.:(

5 Stars Awesome little camera!
I bought this camera when my C875 died (accident, no fault of Kodak). I mainly do photography as a hobby, but I’m constantly taking professional quality pics of my own children and friends’ children. I really wanted to splurge and get an SLR, but this little beauty caught my eye. 14.2 mega pixels for under $200!?! I’m so glad I gave it a chance. Once again Kodak has made me very happy. This little camera takes amazing pictures. They are so crisp and clear that nearly every shot I take is stunning…and considering that my subjects are a one year old and three year old that’s really saying something. Both the preset and manual settings are very easy to use and once you’ve played with them a while it isn’t hard to have your pictures turn out perfect. I’ve also found that the size of the camera is a plus. It’s small enough to travel well, yet it isn’t flat and tiny like some other point and shoots. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s nice to have something to hold on to.

All in all, this is an awesome little camera for your money and I would definitely recommend it! The picture quality is amazing.

1 Star battery life is horrible
I have used $70 worth of batteries in four months. I called Kodak and told them that the camera keeps eating batteries, it shuts off by itself all of the time, and it will take a picture and then the picture will disappear. I sent the camera in to have it fixed and they sent it back to me without fixing it. The “supervisor” that I spoke to told me to just replace the battery. Not any help at all. In the warranty it shows that they will replace the camera, fix the camera, or give you your money back and they have refused to do any of the above. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

5 Stars Great Product!
This camera is awesome! Picture quality is beautiful. The video quality is also very good. It’s easy to use, light and very portable. It doesn’t fit in your pocket but it’s light and easy to carry in a small camera case. The original battery lasted for several hundred pix. I had purchases a rechargable one because of the comments that I had read before I purchased. I would definitely recommend it.

2 Stars Battery Compartment not good
This camera takes nice pictures- but it burns through batteries pretty fast, and I like to use AA lithiums- well even though the manual says they work, the battery compartment door doesn’t close tightly so that there is always contact- my camera would then not always work- you have to buy the more expensive CRV3 battery to always have contact- and it’ll burn pretty quick through those, too.

I’ll be returning mine, and going back to Canon (I lost my Canon Powershot). This is the second Kodak I’ve tried and the construction of their cameras just doesn’t seem very good. Nice features, nice pictures, poor quality construction.

Also- be careful if you buy your camera through another store at Amazon- Amazon has a great return policy, their stores here may not- I have to pay a 10% restocking fee, plus return shipping, and I only had 15 days to try the camera (luckily I decided to do the return within 13 days). READ THE STORES RETURN POLICY BEFORE BUYING, I didn’t.

Fujifilm FinePix S1500 10MP Digital Camera with 12x Wide Angle Dual Image Stabilized Optical Zoom

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Great value but lacks in service
Have purchased another Fuji camera and was quite pleased with it but was looking for an updated camera, Price was one of the factors in buying this one and the newer options. Camera works fine, is easy to hold and focus and fits well in camera case along with other cameras if this important for users. Battery life I can’t attest to as i’ve not had it long enough to test, However I am crusing in January so i’ll give it a good workout. Down side: cd unreadable and there was no memory card included to try out camera and my other memory cards were not compatable but by luck I had a card that would work. Otherwise I would have had to make a trip and find the right one, Downloading to computer did not work at first as the connection to the camera you have to push real hard to make a good connection.Beyond these two gripes I would say that this is a fine camera for the price and ease of use for the average user.As I stated before this is my second Fuji and am quite happy with there products.

5 Stars Great camera for vacations/birding
This was a replacement for my Fuji Finepix S1000 after I damaged its LCD screen beyond repair. I like this camera because it is compact and has a lot of features. I love the image stabilization and 12x optical zoom for birding.

5 Stars BEST CAMERA I EVER HAD!!
My husband bought me this camera for my birthday in August…then I only used it for about 3 weeks before a “Friend” stole it from my house!! So we purchased another one the following month.. Now I have had it for about 4 months!! I must say this is by far the BEST camera I have ever owned!! Being I worked in the Photo department before I knew what to look for in a good camera and well Fuji is a very good maker of cameras. People always think Kodak but Fuji really is one of the best!! So with this camera being 10mp, 10x’s optical zoom and Fuji those three things are what sold it to me for the deal!! I love to take pictures and the pictures this camera takes are breathtaking! It’s amazing how crystal clear the pictures are! It’s easy to learn how to use, has great options for settings right on the top, takes regular AA batteries that makes it easy to change fast and keep shooting! I would recommend this camera to anyone who loves to take many pics and scenic pictures. The zoom is wonderful!! No need to get close to get a clear image..just ZOOM! This camera is easily worth the money paid!! The only thing that I miss is that having a smaller camera before this I could fit it in my purse.. This one you cant. Its a lil bigger and you would need a camera bag. It’s not a small camera to just put in a pocket. It’s quite bigger but totally worth it if you know about camera’s and the specs you will see how this is worth it even if you can’t just shove it into your pocket!! Just use the camera strap and hang it around your neck and your ready to snap!!!

5 Stars Fantastic Camera at a fantastic price!
If you’re looking for the features of an SLR, you’re not going to like this camera. But if you’re comparing it with traditional point and shoot cameras, you’ll find that it holds it’s own.

My favorite feature is the macro modes. With this feature you can get very, very close to the object and still retain focus.

I’m not a professional photographer. I wouldn’t even say it’s a hobby of mine. But I do like to take the occasional picture. After getting this camera I found myself wandering around taking pictures of everything — up close, far away.

I have zero complaints about this camera as it has more features than I expected it to.

I wish that the camera had a removable lense that would allow me to attach different lenses. However, most point-and-shoot cameras don’t allow the lense to be changed so this isn’t truely a negative for this camera.

I also wish I could capture the images in RAW formate. The internal memory and memory card have plenty of room, but this just isn’t an option. I still don’t consider this a negative as the JPGs it produces are beautiful.

I have entered a couple amature photography contest with this camera. Of the 6 that I have entered so far, I have taken first place twice, and have come in second place 3 times. That says quite a lot about the camera when it’s pictures are holding up against high end Canon Digital SLR based cameras!

Highly recommend and would definitely buy this camera again!

5 Stars Fuji Fine Pix S1500 10MP
Haven’t had it very long and do not take a lot of pictures but this camera does a great job and I believe it will do all the things I need in a camera.

Canon Speedlite 430EX II Flash for Canon Digital SLR Cameras

no comments

Canon Speedlite 430EX II Flash for Canon Digital SLR Cameras

Bringing a new level of versatility and capability to flash photography, the Speedlite 430EX II features a powerful flash (guide number of 141 ft./43m at ISO 100) with a fast recycling time in a compact, durable body. A one-touch quick-lock mechanism makes it easy to attach or detach the 430EX II from the camera and a metal foot has been added for strength and durability. Flash controls can now be set through the camera’s LCD screen on compatible EOS Digital SLR cameras. The Speedlite 430EX II is also quieter, recycle time is 20 percent faster (as compared to the 430EX) and since it is compatible with Canon’s wireless E-TTL, it can be used as an affordable “slave unit.”

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Very good
perfect, with this account that I do not need more power. The only bad thing is you need a separate cable to use it divested from the camera ..

5 Stars Awesome buy
Overall, this is one awesome flash. Too bad it can’t act as a master flash unit but otherwise, it’s a solid flash unit. Recycling time is fast and absolutely silent and this thing can provide some nice exposure. It also works seamlessly with the EOS cameras which is really nice. It made my indoor shoots a lot more enjoyable.

5 Stars Canon 430 EX ii
Excellent product. Amazingly fast, super compact and very easy to use. One small downside is the buttons are allitle small for medium/large fingers to press.

5 Stars A little more affordable than the 580EX II
I love this flash! THe manual settings allow me to use it as fill flash during the day and give the model a sparkle to their eye. I don’t use it wirelessly but there are some products on the market that allow you to. This flash is very powerful and fits the needs of a hobbyist amateur photographer.

5 Stars flashy and practical
I have only just begun to use this flash, but found it useful right out of the box. While I’m still learning about lighting, the automatic TTL with this is a boon, but it’s also great to be able to make adjustments to the automatic settings to compensate for moments I want more or less light.

I love the way the head swivels in many directions, which means I can bounce it off ceilings or walls or whatever. I also got the stofen omni bounce, which is a very nice addition for not a lot of money, and it has gotten some use indoors with family pictures.

I can’t compare this to off-brand TTL flashes, but I can say I like this flash and highly recommend it.

5 Stars Digital Frame for a great price
Great frame, great price that you can’t get almost anywhere! Great value all in all!

2 Stars You get what you pay for!
I purchased two of these for gift. One of the power cable didn’t work! And the picture quality is abysmal!

Spend little more and get something nice!

1 Star Coby DP702 crappity crap crap!
save your money and buy a regular frame! I bought this for a present and opened it to put photos on it to present it. Well I changed the picture settings and the photos were still way to dark. Also when you go into the menu to change the picture quality you arent even looking at a picture just a blue screen. Sure would help to have a photo up to see while changing the settings. I feel like if you can buy a decent camera for 100 bucks then you should be able to make a viewer for the photos for less. I am wrong. I will be upgrading this digital photo frame before christmas. what a waste of my time. Good luck to anyone that gets this frame, there are better choices out there and I will post them when I find them.

3 Stars Picture Quality not as expected
It is a good product, but I was disappointed with what, for me, is the most import feature: picture quality.

It is really bad, and you have to be far away from the device not to notice the pixels…

3 Stars Coby DP-702 Digital Photo Frame
I think this product is worth the price and is very easy to use. I was disappointed that the pictures are very dark. These same pictures are on another frame that I own and are not at all dark.

Nikon Coolpix L20 10MP Digital Camera with 3 6 Optical Zoom and 3 inch LCD Deep Red

Nikon Coolpix L20 10MP Digital Camera with 3 6 Optical Zoom and 3 inch LCD Deep Red

The Coolpix L20 is a great camera for beginners just getting started in digital photography. Easy to use and fully featured the Coolpix L20 will delight it’s users with great pictures, fun features and a huge 3.0-inch display at a surprisingly affordable price.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars cool pix
I bought this camera for my wife, who is a point & shoot type. Works great! She can carry it in her purse easily, and she loves not looking through a tiny viewfinder to see the subject. The nice LCD screen is great to compose your shot. Yet, if you read the manual, and use the menus, you can also use different settings for your shots, like action, macro, portrait, etc. The only ( not so ) bad thing is the USB connection to the computer is NOT a standard USB connection, like the one for my bluetooth headset & my other cameras, so again, you need a separate cable. Don’t forget you need to buy an SD card for it, the internal memory is soooo tiny. I got an 8GB card for it that works great.

1 Star Do not buy!
I ordered this item and quickly found out that it produces extremely fuzzy pictures. At first I thought my hand just wasn’t steady but every picture I took with it produced the same product. I sent this item back and would not recommend this item to anyone. This camera is cheap because it is cheaply made.

4 Stars Good camera for a bad photographer
The Coolpix L20 is a fine camera for a guy like me who’s a casual photographer. I get better pictures out of it than I ever did with other cameras because of the automatic features. Couple that with the fact that I can take loads of pictures and erase the bad ones, I usually end up with some good shots. That’s what I wanted and that’s what I got for a very reasonable price.

1 Star Want to Return this Nikon Camera, Please Advise…
This camera does not stay charged, constantly error message: Batteries Exhuasted! I want to return this camera, Please advise.

2 Stars We tried this out in the store and it seemed great!
We had decided to buy a new camera as our Christmas gift to each other this year. When we were looking we tried out all of the cameras in our price range. Cameras get updated so quickly, that we tend to get a new one every 2 or 3 years, so don’t like to spend a lot. We were looking for a few qualities, mainly at least 10 megapixel, large LCD screen and at least a 3X optical zoom. This camera met all of the qualification. We were upgrading from a 5 megapixel with poor zoom because when cropping, many pictures were very grainy. Our sons wedding was coming up and we knew we would be taking some pictures from a distance and would like to have a better camera. I practiced taking some pictures before the wedding and could not get one picture that was not blurry! I was only taking pictures of things around the house, so there was no movement. I had my husband take some also and he had the same problem. Also I tried every scene on the camera and the colors were not good at all. We still took the camera to the wedding, but ended up using the camera on our phone. Those pictures were much clearer. Needless to say, this camera will be going back today.
