3 Stars a little bit more space would be better
The case fits perfectly a Canon 450d with a 18-55 mm lens. That’s it. If your camera has also a hood and a strap you barely can put your camera inside and close the case.

1 Star don’t even try this!
zipper is made of poor quality. split the first time i opened it. returned it the day i received.

3 Stars Handy but low quality
Purchased it for my EOS 450D. Handy, my carema fits great, but such a low quality zip. Practically broke on the second day…if I had to choose again I would spend some more money on a better quality product.

5 Stars Great Case for Rebel XSi
I bought this for my Rebel XSi with the 18 – 55 mm lens that came with the camera. The camera and lens fit perfectly. There is room in the mesh pouch inside the case for a spare battery.

3 Stars Good
It was good for camera with standard 18-55 mm lens but not for any other lens. So I had to return it.

Nikon CF DC2 Semi soft Cast for Nikon D5000 Digital SLR Camera

Semi Soft Carrying Case for D5000

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars nice case
very easy to take on and off camera, seems to offer excellent protection, like the clean simple design

4 Stars Good Enough
I’ve had my Nikon D-5000 for a couple of months now and use this case pretty much exclusively. My original Nikon 35mm film camera (for those old enough to remember film) case used the tripod mount to secure the case to the camera. As the D5000 has the screen the old approach does not work. So, there is a small strap that goes around the neck strap, and you pull the entire case off to shoot and it sort of dangles there. After taking a couple of pictures, you have to pull the case back around the camera (and often the right side sort of folds in and you have to try again). If I’m going to be taking more than a few shots, like at the zoo, I leave the case off completely. So, not the most convenient case, but at the same time not sure how you would improve it. It provides a little protection for dust and bumping and scratches. It is worth buying but can’t rave over it.

4 Stars Nikon D-5000 Case
A must for your D-5000 camera. A little bit of added protection when traveling to and from shoots. This one piece case does not attach to the camera but encases it and has a Velcro closure for easy access to the camera. The case can be removed for camera use or dangled from the camera strap if you do not have a place to put it while capturing a memory. This could potentially get in the way but I have not experienced this yet.

4 Stars case is good, but magnet on the lid too weak
I like the case. It looks good and fits perfect on camera. only weak feature of this case is magnet on the cover flap. The magnet is too weak that it can’t keep the case closed.

5 Stars Exactly how expected it!
I bought this item along with several other items posted on Amazon and I am extremely satisfied as always when I purchased any items with Amazon. They delivered their promise exactly how they stated it.

5 Stars It works for the sd940 IS
Works with the powershot SD940 IS. Just requires that you stretch out the top cover a little bit. It’s leather and you just have to work it a little to get that perfect fit on the 940. Solid quality case.

5 Stars Fits the SD940IS
After reading some of the other reviews I wasn’t sure if the magnetic flap would close if I used this case with the SD940IS. The SD940IS is 2mm longer than the SD780IS. Well, don’t worry it fits the SD940IS perfectly like a glove and the flap closes just fine. The first time when it was straight out of the box and I closed the cover, the magnet didn’t catch. Then I pushed the camera inside a little more snug, and I pulled the flap a bit. Then it snaps shut every time, if you just give it a little tug the first few times to “break it in.” Now it just naturally falls into the right position to catch on the magnet. So if you have the SD940IS – I say go ahead buy this very nice leather case.

5 Stars Made For the Canon SD780 IS
I have the Canon SD780 IS camera and was looking to find a case for it. I bought this camera for its small size so I wanted a case that wasn’t too large. That would have defeated the purpose of buying a small camera in the first place.

This case is very sleek and fits the camera like a glove. It says it was made specifically for the SD780 IS directly on the packaging. The case is made of leather and the inside is lined with some sort of soft fabric material so it won’t scratch the camera when sliding it in & out. The flap is held in place by a magnet and there’s a belt loop on the back. This case it almost perfect.

The only thing I don’t like about it, which is actually rather minor and can’t be helped, is the hole on the top of the case for the hand strap. Every time you put your camera in the case, you need to string the strap through the small hole. Otherwise, the flap will not close because magnet is not strong enough to hold it. Also, the plastic piece on the strap gets caught on the small hole. But other than this, I don’t think you’ll find a better case for the SD780 IS.
